A cultural program organized by the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva, in collaboration with OIR Art Hub, on the occasion of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists 2026.

Following the official opening, keynote remarks, and panel discussions, the event will continue with a cultural and artistic program featuring contemporary artists from Mongolia, South Africa, Switzerland, and England. Through visual art, performance, and installation, the program explores the interconnected relationships between humans, animals, flora, and the landscapes that sustain pastoral life.
1. Exhibition
Feathered Artist
Onongua Enkhtur (Mongolia)
Site-specific soft sculpture installation - “Guardian of the High Pastures”
Presented by Mongolian Art Collective OIR Art Hub, this installation reflects the symbolic relationship between pastoral cultures, native flora, and the enduring spirit of the grasslands. The work brings together traditional materials and contemporary artistic language to evoke care, resilience, and ecological balance.
2. Photography Exhibition
“Earth Is a Story We Inherit”

A selection of photographs created in South Africa, Mongolia, India, and Türkiye, exploring shared rituals, landscapes, and human connections to the natural world. Through moments of care, remembrance, and community, the series reflects on our relationship with the earth and our shared responsibility for its future.

These performances draw inspiration from pastoral traditions, animal symbolism, and pastoral landscapes and ecosystems. Through movement, ritual gestures, and embodied storytelling, they invite reflection on coexistence between humans and the natural world.
